Extra Bacco was born from a Luca Morgan’s idea, to complete his land’s gastronomic proposal, to create a restaurant where the tastes of ancient cuisine can be combined with meat specialties.

The restaurant, like all restaurants on Via del Pane, is a rediscovery temple of ancient flavours, excellent food, fine wines. Eat at Extra Bacco means to immerse yourself in a total sensory experience, where the food’s beauty blends with that of places.

The restaurant is located in a tiny street of the historic Ghetto neighbourhood in the heart of Trieste: a perfect place that offers a moment to passers-by in which time seems to still stand.

A wine cellar that stimulates the palate. . .

Extra Bacco’s wine cellar numbers over seven hundred labels chosen to enhance the culinary creations and to satisfy the most refined gourmets.

The wine list includes a selection of the best domestic and international productions: from national sparkling wines to prestigious French champagnes; from the excellent house wine to the prestigious “Magnum”.

A wide choice among delicate white wines and full-bodied red wines, to be matched with dishes to enhance flavors and aromas. The most demanding palates can choose between labels from all Italian regions: at the top, Piemontese Barolo and Brunello di Montalcino “millesimato”.

In addition to storing and selecting the precious bottles proposed, the sommelier is always at guests’ disposal for advice on the most suitable combination.
